When buying an umbrella, consumers will always open the umbrella to see if there is "silver glue" on the inside. In general understanding, we always assume that “silver glue” equals “anti-UV”. Will it really resist UV?

So, what really is “silver glue” ?

Silver glue is a layer, mainly used to shade, not anti-UV

According to the thickness of the coating can be divided into primary silver, secondary silver, three times silver, four times silver, the more layers coated, representing a better effect of shading, the effect of shading up a good obvious feeling will be cooler, in addition to silver glue, there are recent "color glue" and "black glue" umbrella, the effect of blocking light is also good

In fact, the purpose of the umbrella with silver rubber in the shade, rather than anti-UV, but also because the UV-B penetration will be weaker, there is an umbrella more layer of physical barrier, the same effect is to prevent sunburn.

But in fact, it is not recommended to use umbrellas with silver glue, for two reasons.
1. Silver glue is a chemical coating, if it is a good silver glue to have quality assurance, but the general cheap umbrellas to keep costs down, silver glue is basically painted to look good for nothing, more doubtful is perhaps in the sunlight is easy to give off bad substances to the human body, in the absence of a way to confirm the good and bad silver glue, try to avoid using

2. The inner layer of the umbrella with silver rubber, will reflect the floor refraction of the long-wave radiation, as the greenhouse effect of infinite back and forth reflection, the heat are included, and may even hold up the darker the hotter!
Therefore, as a professional umbrella supplier, we only use good quality UV printing coating on our umbrellas. No chemical substances will be released out of our umbrella. Furthermore, black coating is better option overall.
